Each academic semester, UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine (AIM) registers approximately 50 student and community volunteers at all skill levels. Arts in Medicine volunteers assist AIM Artists in Residence with ongoing AIM workshops and others work independently. AIM volunteers have direct contact with pediatric and adult patients using all types of art disciplines, including visual arts, music, dance, and creative writing.

In gratitude for our wonderful volunteers and all they do for us at UF Health, we have put together our first annual showcase celebrating their talents. The theme of this showcase is Giving. Current and former Arts in Medicine volunteers were invited to participate in a variety of ways. Volunteers could submit an original piece of art, sign up to perform at the closing reception, create a piece of artwork based on our theme Giving, or pose for a photo in their AIM apron.

Please join us for the closing reception on Thursday, February 26th from 4-6pm in the Criser Cancer Resource Center, located in the lobby of UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital.  Parking is free in the South Tower garage after 4:30pm.  The garage is located on the corner of SW 13th St. and SW 13th Ave.
